hire. George was not living with his parents at the time of the 1901 Censu
s, and the most likely (but not definite) match is a "G.Ellerton, 21, b. D
ane Bridge/Cheshire, Assistant Master" living in Greenwich/London.
He emigrated with his wife and children to Australia circa 1915. He died a
ged 64, and was buried at Terang Cemetery, Victoria, as was his wife, s
on Alan, and the latter's wife Mary
Based on the following details of his children (sourced from the FRC Ind
ex for Northwich, Cheshire; the Cheshire BMD website; and Australian WW2 N
ominal Roll) George appears to have emigrated to Australia some time aft
er 1911.
