To the Memory of John Frederick Ellerton, Session Judge of Dinapore, who d ied in the prime of his life on the 18th Oct. 1833, aged 37 years, leavi ng a wife and family deeply to lament a loss, which could be proportion ed by the inestimable blessing he was to them all. He gave to his God, h is first years and his best, And now with his God is eternally blest.

Location: The cemetery is near the Adige, 6.4 kilometres South-West of Tr ento. The Commonwealth graves are against the North wall.


Historical Information: There are now a small number of 1914-18 war casua lties commemorated in this site.

Second Lieutenant 139th Sqdn., Royal Air Force who died on Friday, 16th Au gust 1918. Buried in ROMAGNANO COMMUNAL CEMETERY, Italy. Native of West Wr atting. Served with RN (most likely RNAS) and then the RAF as observer. Ki lled in action aged 17 (/), flying a 139 Sqn. Bristol F.2b with pilot L t. Cyril Robert Howard Jackson (from Coorg, India, aged 20 - also killed ). Left base at Villaveria, Italy, for bombing raid, shot down in flames a fter combat with 4 enemy aircraft over Trento.
